A Web analytics program tells you how shoppers are using your site. It reveals where users come from, what pages they visit and what keyword searches brought them to the site. An analytics package enables merchants to calculate their conversion rate. (Your “conversion rate” is the percentage of your visitors who make a purchase — a critical fact to know and track over time.)
Now that you’ve created your site and have taken into account the feedback of your first set of members, it’s time to start promoting to a wider audience. Then there’s social media marketing to consider, not to mention starting a blog to attract more of your target audience.
Don’t worry about making everything perfect at the outset. As the old saying goes, done is better than perfect, and the sooner you launch your membership site, the sooner you’ll find out if it’s what your target audience wants. It’s fine to return to this step later and work on making your membership website look more professional once you've got some traction.
Join a policy committee: BIA members are eligible to participate on one or all of the association’s four policy committees. Policy committees meet monthly from September through May and are comprised of, and led by, volunteers from BIA member companies throughout the state. Committee meetings allow members to interact in an informal setting with state legislators and regulators. They are also a great way to network with other business leaders who share similar responsibilities within their companies. Perhaps most importantly, it allows you to help shape BIA positions on public policy matters that affect your company’s profitability and success. Although attendance at these committees is completely voluntary, regular attendance will help maximize your company’s investment in the BIA.
The last option you can try is signing up for free trials for the different builders. Ensure that at this stage, you have filtered off your options and only have a handful to try. Signing up for trials might take some time. You don’t have to sign up for platforms that don’t even have the features you were looking for. Set aside some time to scroll through the different platforms and features and fast as possible before making your mind.
Be aware that your URL affects your search engine ranking, so if you want to be found for “shoe,” it’s a good idea to fit “shoe” into your domain name. One way to do this is to use your brand name along with a keyword term. So MillerShoe tends to work better than FantasticShoe.com. (Which is why MillerShoe is taken, but FantasticShoe is still available.)

There is no grace period; coach membership is not valid if any of the requirements lapse or expire. Coaches do not have USA Swimming insurance coverage if their membership is not valid; club insurance is also jeopardized by allowing coaches with lapsed certifications to be on deck. To help coaches manage their membership requirements, the date that each requirement expires is printed on the USA Swimming coach membership card, as well as being available on the Deck Pass app and through the online Club Portal.
